Dog Door Installation in Flower Mound & North Texas

Cleanly cut, properly sealed, and installed where your dog will actually use it.

A dog door is a simple-looking product with a lot of ways to go wrong. Cut into the wrong wall, mounted at the wrong height, sealed poorly against weather, or sized for the dog you have now without thinking about the dog they’ll grow into. Door2Wall installs dog doors in exterior doors, walls, and garage doors, with the cut, the flashing, and the trim done right.

Dog Door Installation Types

Door-mounted units Mounted into the slab of an exterior door. Faster install, lower cost, and the unit can come with you if you ever replace the door itself.

Wall-mounted units Cut through the exterior wall (siding, sheathing, insulation, and interior drywall). More involved, but it lets you place the door anywhere the dog actually uses, regardless of where a door currently exists.

Electronic and RFID units Microchip or collar-tag activated units that only open for your pet, keeping wildlife and the neighbor’s cat out. We install and program these the same way we set up a smart lock.

Cost Framework

Installation labor typically runs $125 to $300 depending on the surface (door vs. wall) and the unit type. Dog door units themselves range from around $50 for basic flap models to $350 or more for electronic and energy-rated units. Total project cost generally falls between $150 and $800, and we provide a flat-rate project estimate based on your photos and the unit you’ve selected.
