Door Hardware and Smart Lock Installation
Installed correctly the first time, with the door aligned so it actually closes around the new bolt.
A smart lock from Schlage, Yale, August, Level, or Nest only works if the door it’s mounted on closes cleanly. Plenty of new smart locks get returned as “defective” when the real issue is a strike plate that drifted a quarter inch and a bolt that’s binding against metal instead of dropping into the hole.
Door2Wall installs door hardware as a complete job: the alignment, the install, the sync, and the test.

Smart Lock & Hardware Installation Scope
Standard hardware Knobs, levers, and deadbolts from any major brand. Single doors and full-home swaps.
Keypad entry locks A reliable, keyless option for garage entry doors, side doors, and any door where you’d rather not hide a key under a rock.
Smart locks and Wi-Fi deadbolts Schlage Encode, Yale Assure, August, Level, Nest x Yale, and others. We mount the hardware, align the door if needed, set up the app, and confirm everything talks to your network before we leave.
The alignment plus tech install combo This is the one people forget about. If the door isn’t aligned, the smart bolt won’t throw smoothly, the auto-lock will fail intermittently, and the battery drains twice as fast trying to force the motor through resistance. We fix that root cause, then install the lock on top of it.
Why This Matters for Tech-Forward Households
A lot of homeowners across Flower Mound, Highland Village, and Argyle have bought a smart lock, mounted it themselves, and then watched it misbehave. Nine times out of ten, the lock is fine. The door isn’t. Our installs include the alignment work that makes the hardware perform the way the manufacturer designed it to.
Pricing Notes
Standard hardware swap installs typically run $40 to $80 per door, depending on hardware type and door condition. Smart lock installs are quoted as flat-rate projects, with alignment included in scope where needed. Send photos of the door and the lock model you want installed, and we’ll send back a project estimate with the scope spelled out.
